We are on the cusp of our first anniversary and 30 Upstairs feels very grateful to all the artists who have exhibited, our wonderful audience, our small but smart team and those who have contributed words, wisdom and wine (when needed).
Lots of thought and time goes into selecting the shows, building relationships with the artists, curators and collectors and we have made many new friends along the way. Mal and Jhana, together, have penned a gripping guide for the rest of this year bringing New Zealand’s most exciting emerging artists to Wellington.
Thank you to Megan Dunn who kindly included 30Upstairs, Fairways and Bunker
and our very own Jhana Millers in her Wellington feature in the current issue of Art News NZ. Jhana who has just completed her Masters, brings so much knowledge to 30Upstairs as both a practising artist and an active member of the art scene in Wellington. We are very proud of her achievements and her glistening gold billboard at Bartley + Company Art earlier this year was stunning – read more here.
